Summary: A part of her knew that Alex was doing it to wear her out. Neither of them wanted a repeat of the other night, when Olivia had almost broken Alex’s arm. Luckily the bruises had faded quickly. She hadn’t had any other flashbacks since then, but they were both hesitant. If Olivia was exhausted, she wasn’t going to get out of bed and start wandering and thinking and getting lost in her head.

Summary: It was so rare that Olivia used her full name that Alex pulled back to look into her lover’s eyes. Something had changed between now and this morning, when they’d rolled from bed and mutually griped about the need to put in an appearance at the precinct’s party. Alex had worried then – Olivia had seemed distant and nervous and by the time they reached the party, she’d almost convinced herself that Olivia was working up to the inevitable breakup and she could consider herself lucky to be one of the many on Olivia Benson’s infamous dance card. But looking into her eyes now, she realized she’d been completely wrong. No, Olivia had something else on her mind.

Hey everyone, I've been following you guys for a while now and when I came across this, I couldn't resist and had to share it with you, cause it express my exactly feelings about recent SVU episodes. Our dear Stabler is # 4:

4 - Elliot Stabler, Law & Order: SVU

While we still love this show's silly/grim melodrama, our beloved Det. Stabler is wearing on our nerves a bit. Seriously, just how many cases can you get Too Close To? How many times can you let your bellicose Catholicism and old-guard Marines-iness affect how you handle a case before you have to turn in your gun and badge, permanently? SVU has always been the most interesting iteration of Dick Wolf's theater-industry-saving (so many actors employed...) juggernaut franchise, but not only because it deals with wicked and prurient things like sex crimes. We also enjoy that you do get to know the characters a little bit, that there's some genuine psychology at work in the heroes beyond the original series' weary seen-it-all-ism. But it has gotten to be a bit much. Olivia's problems are at least a bit more nuanced, whereas every other week the show seems to simply be the Christopher Meloni Acts Intense Hour. For example, did you see that ludicrous solitary-confinement episode? We half expected "White Rabbit" to start playing while Elliot went slowly mad in his cell. Talk about melodrama.

She knew that in the wrong situation, she would use her training and she would kill first and ask questions later. What frightened her was that the rat bastard from IAB was right. When she closed her eyes, she still saw those flashing lights taking Alex away from her, into hiding, into safety. She could still feel their one desperate night together, before Alex testified against Connors; could still feel Alex’s hungry lips and taste their mutual tears. She could still see Alex walking toward her at that crime scene; the only reason Olivia had been able to forgive her not calling since her release from witness protection was the look of panic in her eyes.

Author's Notes: I was watching Romeo and Juliet a few weeks ago, and I got inspired to write a fanfic revolving around our favorite pair. If you're not familiar with Shakespeare, I suggest watching the Dicaprio version or pickin up a copy of the No Fear version. It's got the original play on the left side of the pages and the translated version on the right. Very helpful. I will be going thru the play like Mr. Shakespeare, except adding a NYC style twist on it. I'm working on Chapts 2 and 3. Alex won't appear until 4 or 5. But we will be having fun with Olivia lol.
